Review summary
Many reviewers find the pattern easy to follow and enjoy the finished hats, often knitted as gifts for children. Some praise the yarn. Complaints are uncommon: a few say the hat came out small or that the instructions are long and hard to follow.

Absolutely first class, grandaughter loved which resulted in orders from her friends, daughter loved it which has resulted in even more orders from her barrister colleagues. In fact they are all giving to charity on receipt at my request, so everyone is happy. I did change the picot edging beginning to make it easier to follow like a previous reviewer. But other than that i so recommend this
What a fun hat (for small adult people!) Can't wait to knit it up wear it everywhere. Pattern is well-illustrated for knitting up points of crown from the brim.....we'll see how that goes - but I know the "experts" at Lovecrafts are on hand if I get into difficulties!
Knitted in an evening, excellent way to use up ends of balls. I used white snuggly wool for the hem and just turn the hem up, was quicker than the picot edge on the pattern
A great knitting pattern. Easy to follow instructions. It knitted to the exact measurements. Will be well received by the grandchildren.
Very easy to follow instructions together with detailed photos. I have now made two beanies and I’m over the moon with the finished product!
I’m loving this pattern, it’s so cute. I’m knitting this in Patons baby fairy craft 4 ply rather than the recommended DK, to achieve a smaller hat to suit my very petite granddaughter. The yarn is lovely soft, the colours are vibrant and not limited to the usual choice of blue, pink or yellow is as usually the case with baby yarns.
Unique pattern, easy to follow in the main. I did try a different system for the picot edging (used the two needle method to cast on with larger needles which I find easier to pick up). Looks great made up, I’ve made two different sizes.
I have made at ,least 4 times now - brilliant little dress up beanie for my little princesses
Tempted by this pattern to get my knitting needles out, although I am really a crochter. A bit tricky at the start (haven't knitted for ages) but have finished one and have just started a second. My granddaughters will look like little princesses!
