Love stylecraft wool. Always try to buy it as it is good value for money. The Aran wool is a mixture of acrylic and wool, It goes a long way and has made a nice jumper for my husband. He is really pleased with it.
I have often used Stylecraft Life yarn. I like the high wool content. It gives good stitch definition and has a lovely soft feel. The only thing to bear in mind is that it tends to be slightly less bulky than some other yarns so might give a slightly smaller gauge.

In my opinion not good enough to be classed as Arran more double knit. Colour was not accurate. Grey wool image demonstrates strands of black these were not present at all and the gauge looked much heavier. So not a fair image of the actual wool. I could have bought better quality from a discount store!
