Sirdar Snuggly 3 ply has been my “go to” yarn, for knitting shawls, for over 20 years. I have noticed a huge deterioration in the quality of the yarn this past year. What was once a consistently reliable yarn is now full of knots, has uneven thickness and splits. The length of the yarn also seemed to have changed and on a couple of occasions I’ve had to buy an additional ball to complete the shawl. Time for me to look for an alternative yarn.
