King Cole Riot Chunky

The thickness of yarn varies from 'similar to DK' through to 'super chunky' very frequently. I have used 2 balls so far and the longest length I have had to cut out was approximately 5m, this results in colour changing being abrupt rather than gentle. Also had several knots in yarn where yarn colour before and after the knot have been different. I love the beautiful yarn colours. I love that it's chunky yarn, so my crochet blanket is working up really fast. It is very squishy and luxurious yarn to the touch. I will be ordering more in a different colour way. It has superb stitch definition.

I was about to send the wool back as it was not consistent in width. I had to cut out quite a bit out because it was so thin in places, which meant I used a lot more wool than the pattern stated. I will not buy this wool again nor recommend it. I loved the color and had already knitted quite a bit and thought it was only the one ball but it was not it was in every ball.

I love this yarn. It’s so soft and I love the feel of it as I crochet. Occasionally the yarn gets a little thinner and then thicker but I think that’s just adding to the texture of the finished product. I will purchase again.

I received the yarn and it was just as beautiful in color as it showed online. I love the feel of it! I wanted to make a scarf and the result was wonderful. I live in texas so the weather is mostly hot until a polar vortex came in just now and that scarf did not only look good but it sure kept me nice and toasty! So yes buying this yarn was a good decision! It does not feel itchy either just a wonderful addition. Easy to knit with as well! Colors are awesome!

The quality of the wool is good and I am looking forward to knitting a jumper from this wool, the colour mix is in a colour spectrum that I like. Also the finished jumper will be washable on the cold water setting on my machine.

Excellent stuff. I use this a lot. It makes great scarves and hats as the colour change is just right for short rows and makes a simple pattern look really special.
